Edoardo Tresoldi is an Italian sculptor, known for his massive architectural sculptures made of wire. He makes near-transparent sculptures using wire mesh, and often positions them in public places. The buildings were illuminated at night and cast ethereal shadows.

Italian artist Edoardo Tresoldi built three transparent structures for this year’s Coachella music festival in California. Titled ‘Etherea’, the sculptural series was comprised of three identical buildings in different sizes, inspired by Neoclassical and Baroque aesthetics. The buildings were illuminated at night with a hazy lavender glow.

2017 | An Expansive Pavilion Constructed from Wire Mesh

As part of a royal event in Abu Dhabi, Italian artist Edoardo Tresoldi was tasked with the creation an immense environment of architectural elements built from wire. The variety of objects fully encompass the event space, creating elegant partitions and environments within the 7,000 square meter space.

With hundreds of yards of wire mesh artist Edoardo Tresoldi has built an interpretation of an early Christian church that once stood in its place at the current Archaeological Park of Siponto, Italy. Built with the assistance of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Archaeology Superintendence of Puglia, the installation connects ancient archaeology with contemporary art.
